Hi Point Firearms
Hi Point firearms offer some of the best value in the firearms market today. These “Made in the USA” budget-priced handguns and carbines offer both reliability and extreme value to the American consumer. Not everyone has $500 plus dollars to put down for a home defense pistol or carbine for informal range use. Hi Point recognizes this and produces an array of pistols for the budget conscious buyer as well as a line of semi-automatic carbines that are priced far lower than any of their competitors. All Hi Point firearms come with a “lifetime, no questions asked warranty.” Hi Point warranties their firearms, even to subsequent purchasers, so even if you buy one used you can rest assured that if you have any problems, your firearm will be repaired free of charge.
All Hi Point carbines and handguns feature polymer frames. Their pistol and rifle actions utilize a blowback design that reduces the need for complicated machining. This simplifies the manufacturing process and also means there are fewer parts to malfunction. Blowback operation is one of the reasons for Hi Point’s reliability as it allows tolerances to be looser and thus is less prone to malfunction due to dirt and debris buildup in the action as with many other designs.
Hi Point guns are available in four calibers. The handgun models are the CF-380 in 380 ACP, the C9 in 9mm, the JSP in 40S&W, and the JHP chambered in 45 ACP. Compact CF-380 and C9 models are available with or without a compensator while full size models are only available sans compensator.
Hi Point carbines are available in 9mm for the 995 carbine, 40S&W for the 4095 carbine, and 45 ACP 4595. All Hi Point carbines have capacities of at least 9 or 10 rounds, depending on caliber, when using factory Hi Point magazines. There is an aftermarket 15 round magazine from Pro Mag Magazines for 9mm carbines that functions as well as the factory magazines.
All Hi Point carbines are compact and feature a new, updated stock. New carbines with this stock have the designation “TS” at the end of the model number. A vast improvement over the original stock, the TS version incorporates mounting points for Hi Point accessories as well as aftermarket parts.
At 31.5 inches overall with a 16.5-inch barrel and less than 7 pounds in weight, these little rifles are designed to go anywhere. Polymer construction of the stock adds durability and resists corrosion. Sights are fully adjustable and the ability to mount a scope makes these carbines very versatile.
User reviews on Hi Point firearms are more than satisfactory. All Hi Point guns maintain a reputation for reliability and accuracy. Quality control at MKS Supply is exceptional and customer service is some of the best anywhere.
Hi Point pistols have proven reliable and accurate and support an array of accessories such as lasers and holsters.
Hi Point carbines have gained a large following and the add-on parts for them continue to grow. Lasers, compensators, mag couplers, forward grips, and scope mounts are some of the factory Hi Point accessories available.
